Executive Orders ARE NOT LAWS!

Regardless of where you stand on the covid restrictions, the idea that "executive orders" are LAWS, is extremely dangerous to both freedom and democracy. LAWS are passed by both houses of the legislature and signed by the governor. They stand as laws unless repealed and/or until ruled unconstitutional by a court. 

This is true at both the State and Federal Level. Especially at the Federal level, because of the paralysis of Congress, Presidents have taken to governing by executive order as if they were kings.

Executive orders are what a boss or business owner tells an employee and have no validity outside the company. The Governor can certainly issue executive orders to State Employees, but I am NOT a State employee nor do I work for them. The same is true of the President and the Federal Government.

Supposedly governments work for us (the people). We pay their salaries! Even within a company, executive orders are not valid if they require the employees do something illegal. 

The courts need to come down on this firmly - if they let it stand the Republic is dead and we already live in a dictatorship. 

Incidentally, I personally have agreed with and complied with what has been required on the covid front, but I complied not because I was ordered to but because I was convinced it was the right thing to do. However, I believe the age of lockdowns now has to end, except in small locations for specific reasons for a short time. They are doing too much damage to people and to the economy.
