The "Jack Reacher" Approach
Another week of dealing with the continually increasing complexity of life, this time with yet more Medicaid paperwork. I already turned in a 3 inch thick sheaf of paper, this will in the end probably be thicker. I long for the days when I got paid in cash, or cashed my paycheck and paid with cash. For quite a number of years I didn't use a bank account. Now I have a number of them, plus insurance, pension, Social Security and other things.
The older I get, the less I want to do with complexity. Once all this is done, a lot of things are going to be closed out and consolidated. I probably can't get to the "Jack Reacher" level of one bank account and dealing exclusively in cash, but I will try. This stuff is just too much.
