Classism, not Racism, is America's Achilles Heel.

Racism still exists in America, though not as prominently and as up-front as it once was. White racist attitudes towards blacks haven’t gone away, just been driven underground – only occasionally surfacing to the shock of the elites. Much other types of racism, such as Black racist attitudes towards Asians, is ignored by the media so most people don’t realize the extent of it. Every race looks at those of other races as inferior and themselves as superior. That is part of human nature. Contrary to liberals endless repetition of “people have to be taught to hate”, that isn’t the case. They have to be taught NOT to, and pay attention their entire lives to overcome it. Making stupid statements like “only Whites are racist”, and “Blacks can’t be racist” doesn’t help, it just fuels the flames of division and hatred. It also shows a complete naivete about human nature.

Racism, however, is not the biggest problem in America. I would give the number one spot to Classism. Much classism is erroneously referred to as racism, but it is really quite different. Class, not race, fuels the split between the “Red States” and the “Blue States”. Skin color is immaterial, wealth is THE major issue, with the amount of formal education the second. Those who live in suburbia and work in the cities at high paying jobs look down on both inner city and rural residents with the same disdain. They have managed to subjugate most inner city folks by making them totally dependent on the Government (which they control). As long as “those people” stay in the inner city and out of suburbia and the elites manage to keep financing the bread and circuses on the back of the dwindling number of workers, a surface appearance of peace and stability is maintained. The same hasn’t happened in rural areas, though the elites have made progress on turning many rural people into Government dependents. Most rural folks, however, want paying jobs not government dependency.

Most rural folks are well aware of the disdain the elites hold for them. It has been going on for generations, but gets worse as farms go out, rural businesses go out, churches close, the young flee to the cities, and the population gets older. Health care increasingly means a very long drive to a city, becoming more difficult as the environmentalists make cars and driving more expensive. Hillary Clinton tried hard to explain away her “deplorables” remark, but country folks knew exactly what she meant. Trump won the 2016 election because of classism. He lost in 2020 largely because of his dismissal of Covid-19 and his failure to turn things around outside the cities. But now Covid is destroying the cities and the elites are fleeing to the suburbs. Soon they will control the nation from increasingly isolated and out-of-touch suburbia.

Censorship makes it look at present as if things are calming down. A noisy, hissing boiler is quieted by tying the safety valve down, but that only makes the inevitable explosion worse if the pressure isn’t relieved. And that is more shocking and surprising, because ignorance really is bliss, but ignorance solves no problems. So far, I have seen little discussion of issues, only persons. A teacher in school used to say that “small minds discuss people, bigger minds discuss events, and great minds discuss issues”. If true, the endless obsession with Trump shows what kind of minds are running the country! If the issues aren’t addressed, and soon, Freedom will fall.

So what happens then? Hard to tell. It depends on how long they can hold things together, for one thing. Long enough, and the countryside will be a desert occupied by geriatric elders, apart from a comparatively few managers of corporate farms and their immigrant workers. It will be totally pacified and irrelevant. The city populations will also be older, and more dependent on government than ever.

The elites will also have to destroy the present military, disproportionately made up of rural and small town men and women, but also a number from the inner city, all of whom they despise and who in turn dislike them. They will replace it by secret police, spies, drones, re-education (concentration) camps, and a brutal guard loyal only to them. If natural disasters, pandemics, and wars interfere, which they likely will, things will be accelerated and play out differently. On the downside for them, the suburbs are militarily indefensible and totally reliant on transportation and communication through both the countryside and city centers. Power and water also come from and through the country, and communications cables and energy pipelines pass through it.

I don’t expect to be here, but my children and grandchildren will be. It would be much better if we grew up, stopped deliberately dividing the country to get votes, and worked together to make sure the WHOLE COUNTRY prospered, not just some parts of it. Federal government size and power need to be drastically cut. We need to start minding our own business. We need to dump the worldwide empire and concentrate our efforts and forces where we have a national interest. We need to balance our budget and adopt a sound currency. We need to stop blaming racism for every problem, and whites alone for racism, while still working to eliminate it. We need to straighten out higher education and get rid of the loonies promoting idiocy that permeate it today. We need to seriously address income disparity. We need to make corporations non-persons and build a legal wall of separation between corporations and government. We need some major and serious trust-busting. And we need to start following the Constitution and eliminate censorship – by both government and corporations.
